This Purchasing Inventory Manager has responsibility for: (i) managing the procurement of materials and supplies across multiple job sites; (ii) maintaining accurate inventory levels and overseeing inventory audits; (iii) developing and managing vendor relationships to ensure quality, pricing, and timely delivery; (iv) coordinating closely with project managers and operations teams to align purchasing with project timelines; and (v) identifying cost-saving opportunities and improvements within the purchasing and inventory processes.
What will I do in this role?
Manage all purchasing activities for materials, supplies, and equipment across multiple active job sites and warehouse inventory. Build and maintain relationships with key vendors, negotiate pricing and delivery terms, and ensure timely procurement of materials. Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and forecast material needs based on current and upcoming projects. Embrace lean systems/tools such as kanban, visual management and 5S. Maintain and organize an efficient inventory system to minimize waste and avoid shortages or excess. Work closely with project managers, production, and installation teams to align purchasing with project timelines. Create purchase orders, track order statuses, and manage delivery logistics. Resolve discrepancies with vendors regarding deliveries, quantities, or invoicing. Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements within the supply chain. Ensure materials meet quality standards and project specifications. Maintain accurate records of purchases, inventory transactions, and vendor information. Collaborate with accounting and finance to ensure budget alignment and timely payment of vendor invoices. What skills and experience do I need?

Process Improvement & Cost Control A mindset for continuous improvement with an eye for optimizing purchasing and inventory workflows. Coordination & Cross-Functional Collaboration Comfortable working with project managers, field crews, and finance teams to align supply chain decisions with project needs.
