SUMMARY Working with the Church Activities Manager and the Church Activities Team, this position is the team lead for the department's CSO support. This position also coordinates the two summer internship programs, partnering with departments across the organization to create meaningful and educational internship opportunities for high school and college students.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
1. Plans and implements strategy for CSO support (45%) Serves as team lead for the CSO support team, including international Regional Reps Oversees the expansion of our College Network campaign which expands our ability to locate CS students and professors on campuses around the world Manages sections of the Salesforce database Assesses and strengthens current CSO resources, including regularly updating the CSO pages on ChristianScience.com Communicates with CSOs to support them in their outreach work, including direct outreach and email newsletters Provides direct support and communication to forming CSOs Develops a network of field support for fulfilling this by-law Develops events that support both CSOs and students exploring this idea 2. Manages the summer internship programs (40%)
Coordinates with departments to develop educational internship opportunities that enable students to contribute in significant ways to the work of their departments Schedules activities and meetings throughout the summer for the interns to expand their knowledge of TMC and Mary Baker Eddy's provision for church Reviews all applications, conducts interviews of applicants and identifies the strongest candidates. Coordinates selection and finalization process Develops marketing strategy for the program Partners with NLC on the high school internship program 3. Support other Christian Science related Youth Trips to the CSPS (5%)
4. Supports other team initiatives (10%)
Create and manage Trello cards that track each communication and its review process. Respond to requests for workshops (Engaging Youth in Church, Reading Room, Church of Healers, Why Church? etc.). Coordinate with those church contacts to coordinate timing, determine who should be involved in the workshops, schedule the meetings, and ensure the churches have the information they need to prepare for the workshop. Oversees the College and 20/30-something groups on the Christian Science online community STAFF MANAGEMENT AND JOB CONTACTS

Regular Contacts TMC Youth staff and staff throughout The Church Center; church members; and community leaders
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education/Experience Bachelor's degree required. Requires at least 2-5 years experience in organizing events, working as part of a project team, and collaborating with and supervising college students.
Knowledge/Skills Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential. Practical understanding of how to envision and implement project plans and program solutions, including the ability to troubleshoot, are required.
Technology Skills Proficient in Gmail and MS Office - Word, Excel, and Powerpoint - as well as Internet.
Work Environment Must be highly organized and a good communicator. Must be able to balance competing project needs, keeping in mind short-, medium-, and long-term objectives while staying focussed on the organization's mission. Position requires some travel.
Engagement with Christian Science Membership in The Mother Church required; Primary Class instruction preferred.
