As an Associate Fire Protection Engineer, you’ll work under the guidance of licensed professionals to: Deliver fire protection services including life safety code consulting, sprinkler and fire alarm design, and performance-based engineering. Create plans, specifications, and inspection reports meeting top-tier professional standards. Assist in resolving design problems through field investigations, detailed design work, checking computations, or coordinating design aspects into a project. Identify applicable codes and standards to reference in inquiries. Analyze building codes, egress systems, fire detection and alarm systems, smoke control, and sprinkler systems. Assist our Research, Development, Testing & Evaluation team with fire testing, computational analysis and materials evaluations. Prepare and present technical reports to project leaders and clients. Qualifications
We’re looking for candidates with: A Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or higher in Fire Protection (strongly preferred), Mechanical, Civil or Architectural Engineering or related field. Strong written and verbal communication skills to write reports, collaborate and present effectively.
