Soil Solutions is a prime Construction subcontractor in the tristate area with expertise in the installation of deep foundations and support of excavation. Our professionals and experts have been the key to our success in the construction industry. Responsibilities
Assist the Project Manager/Executive by tracking and maintaining records associated with submittals, costs, deliveries and payroll at the job site. Also responsible for tracking and maintaining safety communications, manuals and records. Safety: prepare and deliver weekly toolbox talks, daily safety huddles, and maintain safety records. Manage utility coordination: maintain a file for One Call Center requests to help ensure no utilities are damaged during construction. Maintain the Hazardous Communication Program (MSDS) and project safety manual; perform periodic jobsite safety inspections and record findings. Record and track site safety inspections and any injuries on the project. Payments: perform daily quantity reviews with the Superintendent and Job Foreman; enter daily quantities into the system and file daily sheets; track completion of work on project plans; perform monthly reviews of estimates with the Superintendent/Project Manager; maintain a file tracking all extra work; notify the Project Manager or Division Manager of anticipated overruns/underruns; submit monthly estimates with subcontractor payment sheets to Accounting after owner approval. Request a copy of the Final Estimate with each monthly estimate and send to Area Manager (State DOT projects only). Review and approve material and supplier invoices for the project on a regular basis. Daily Logs: maintain general correspondence with a correspondence log, shop drawing log, subcontractor daily log, and delivery log; accurately track asphalt and other major materials delivered versus quantities paid; develop and update the Submittal Log. Certified Payroll, EEO, and Trainee Reports: enter daily payroll information by task and assist in productivity tracking; track subcontractors on the Subcontractor Daily Log; submit copies of the Subcontractor Log to Payroll monthly and notify Area Managers of delays; track job codes using the Phase Code System; maintain the RFI to the owner. Assist in purchasing job materials to ensure proper quantities are delivered; review project plans and specifications to ensure work is completed properly; review subcontractor submittal packages for accuracy.
