AAM is looking for an engineering student interested in controls/automation as a career to join our team. Responsibilities
Assist the Controls/Automation Engineer in the R&D and deployment of new technology related to inspection and automation equipment. Adapt new technology to our current controls standards. Ensure compliance with applicable national electrical safety standards. Identify and implement advanced machine control, sensor, and robotic technologies. Assist the Controls/Automation Engineer with PLC/HMI programming. Assist the Controls/Automation Engineer with Robot Programming. Assist the Controls/Automation Engineer with Electrical system design. Basic understanding of mechanical systems. Support Metal Forming plants as needed with to develop new or improve existing automated systems. Required Skills And Education
Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Mechatronics fulltime. Sophomore or higher class standing with at least two years until graduation. Available to work a minimum of 25 hours each week year-round. Experience with and interest in Computer Vision technology. Experience with and interest in Automated systems. Experience with object-oriented programming. Must be able to work in the U.S without sponsorship. About AAM
