IDL Education & Outreach Specialist – Library, Part Time, 85995BR The UCSF Industry Documents Library (IDL) is a unit within UCSF Archives & Special Collections. This role coordinates efforts to promote and deliver the IDL's collections, programs, and research and education services to scholars, scientists, historians, journalists, public health experts, and community health advocates. You will help create educational and reference resources (e.g., subject guides, video tutorials, interactive workshops) and promote these materials through blog posts, newsletter articles, and other outreach channels to increase engagement with IDL\'s research community. This is a half-time, limited-term position supervised by the Director of the Industry Documents Library, in collaboration with the Associate University Librarian for Collections / University Archivist, and works with the IDL team within the Archives & Special Collections unit. The salary range is $38.08 - $52.43 hourly, with final salary and offer components subject to UC policy approvals. Your placement within the salary range depends on factors including work experience and internal equity. For represented positions, placement follows the collective bargaining agreement rules. The UCSF Industry Documents Library (IDL) is a digital archive of more than 20 million documents from industries that influence public health and is used by researchers, policymakers, journalists, and the public. Responsibilities

Coordinate efforts to promote and deliver IDL\'s collections, programs, and research/education services to a wide audience. Create educational and reference resources (subject guides, video tutorials, interactive workshops). Promote materials through blog posts, newsletters, and other outreach channels to increase engagement. Collaborate with the IDL team and leadership within ASC. Required Qualifications

Bachelor\'s degree in a related area and/or equivalent experience/training At least 3 years of experience in a related role Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve complex problems and recommend solutions Demonstrated interpersonal skills including diplomacy and tact in dealing with a variety of people and situations Preferred Qualifications

Willingness and ability to learn new tools and workflows Strong project management skills and the ability to organize, prioritize, use judgment, and take initiative Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across domains and specialties Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail Thorough knowledge of specialized subjects and relevant library systems/databases Thorough knowledge of library data transformation techniques and software tools; ability to recommend new technology as needed Benefits & Employment Information
