The Role at a Glance The purpose of this role is pricing support for Lincoln’s individual fixed, fixed indexed, registered index-linked, and variable annuities. This role will contribute to the design, modeling, assumption setting, analysis, and state filing for new products. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to present their work to various stakeholders, including product management, pricing review, risk management, and senior leadership. The individual will work on products developed in partnership with Annuity Product and will work across business units and functions.
What you'll be doing Pricing Analysis
Perform pricing analysis and analyze the pricing results for new/redesigned annuity contract and rider benefits.
Determine appropriate assumptions and how to model new product features.
Develop pricing strategies and provide consultation/clarification on actuarial models and risk issues.
Collaborate with product development team on product design to meet or exceed profitability and sales objectives.
Direct, develop, and/or run complex pricing models and analysis for annuity contracts and rider benefits.
Present results of analysis to team members, key business partners, and management.
Risk Analysis
Analyze risk management strategies, and various reserve and capital requirements.
Evaluate the impact of the potential product design changes on the reserve and/or capital requirement, profitability and tail risks.
Actuarial/ Technical Support
Maintain existing actuarial models and tools, and proactively identify and implement improvements. Develop tools and support product/ relationship managers according to business needs.
Provide actuarial support for state filing or compliance.
Pricing Documentation
Prepare reports and presentations summarizing pricing analysis and results, including documentation of assumptions and methodology.
Special Projects
Participate in ad hoc projects related to product development, implementation, inforce management, and corporate risk management initiatives such as ERM and capital management.
What we’re looking for
6+ years of experience in Actuarial positions
Strong technical skills
Comfort working with and communicating across various teams and levels of seniority
Capability to be productive in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and responsibilities
Curiosity, comfort asking questions and challenging the status quo
Undergraduate degree and 4+ years of comparable work experience required
FSA designation or ASA designation with substantial additional years actuarial experience

The pay range for this position is $108,501 - $195,900 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
