You'll play a key role in delivering exceptional results on various projects ranging from $75,000 to $10M, ensuring that every project meets and exceeds client expectations.
Position Overview:
As a detail-oriented and skilled Commercial Estimator, you will prepare accurate cost estimates and collaborate with project stakeholders, including project managers, architects, and clients. Your talent for analyzing project plans and specifications will be crucial to successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze project plans, specifications, and related documents to develop comprehensive cost estimates for commercial projects.
Perform quantity take-offs and cost calculations for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services.
Source, evaluate, and negotiate bids from subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to clarify project specifics and resolve any discrepancies.
Assist in crafting and submitting compelling bid proposals and presentations.
Stay informed on industry trends, material costs, and labor rates to maintain precise estimates.
Engage in value engineering and cost-saving strategies during the pre-construction phase.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction estimating.
Proficient in estimating software such as Sage Estimating, Bluebeam, or PlanSwift.
Strong grasp of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
Exceptional analytical and mathematical abilities with a keen eye for detail.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for successful collaboration.
Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrive under tight deadlines.
Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes.
