We are currently seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to join our team in Dallas, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).
The Cloud Security Engineer manages cloud security on behalf of clients. This is a hands-on role in all aspects of cloud native security tools (Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI, Defender suite, Cloudwatch, PaloAlto Cloud and network security, AppGate Network Zero Trust, Imperva Cloud Native tools). Implementing security controls based on the fundamentals of Cloud Security Benchmarks, threat protection, identity, and access management, defining cloud infrastructure and policies. The candidate will use cloud native technologies to provide data protection, network security defenses, while also supporting cloud cyber incident responses policies and procedures. This position requires experience in cloud native security tools used in Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
Role Responsibilities
Drive Cloud Security Score improvement for the client
Report on metrics
Resolve client issues by taking the appropriate corrective action or following the appropriate escalation procedures
Utilize ticketing system and standard operating procedures for effective call processing and escalation to adhere to client SLA
Follow change management procedures when implementing changes to environment
Confidently communicate technical information to NTT Data Services client base and internal technical team members
Mentor junior analyst and provide guidance as needed
Maintain a working knowledge of local security policies and execute general controls as assigned
Required Qualifications
8+ years of experience total, including:
1+ years of Cloud Security Experience in cloud native security tools used in either or: Microsoft Azure, AWS, GCP, or OCI
3+ years Cyber Security Experience
Experience with writing/creation of formal documentation such as reports, slide decks, and architecture diagrams
Client-facing/customer service/support experience
Highly Preferred Qualifications
Cloud certification
Coding or scripting experience
Security+, GSEC, SSGB, ITIL, or other GIAC certification
Working knowledge of at least one Cloud environment (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, or Oracle Cloud)
Root cause analysis experience and problem solving
Investigative and analytical problem solving skills
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., computer science) or 6+ years of relevant work experience
