Job Description The Senior Manager of Applications & Development Operations serves a distinct role centered on designing and managing comprehensive technology solutions that effectively tackle business challenges. The senior manager of Applications supports product managers in defining viable technical solutions by applying architectural principles, technological frameworks, and analytical and problem-solving skills.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Create Solution Designs, setting processes, patterns, and standards for development operations.
Apply experienced knowledge of technologies and innovative techniques to resolve complex development challenges working with Product Managers and internal IT departments.
Always look for ways to measure the outcome of the work we complete.
Manage development partners (vendor management), establish SLAs and partners' quality of work production support.
Engage development partners on projects for architecture design, defining resources, establishing cadence for regular code reviews, progress on design and transition from project team to production support once implemented.
Effectively communicate issues, risks, and dependencies with product managers, escalating where appropriate.
Create and update referenced architectural diagrams that depict systems' flow and state of data.
Collaborate to build an elastic hosting infrastructure and automation.
Establish a Continuous Delivery deployment pipeline.
Champion continuous improvements in software development methodologies.
Lead the effort in building data lakehouse, shifting architecture to cloud whether it’s SaaS or hosted in private cloud.

Required Skills & Experience
Working knowledge of architectural principles and frameworks.
12+ years of experience in a similar role.
5+ years vendor management experience.
Experience developing applications in Azure.
Experience with programming languages - Java, Python, C#, React, Node JS, .NET, cloud computing.
Experience with cloud architectures and virtualization concerns is essential.
Working knowledge of microservices and API design.
Understanding of data architecture and database systems.
Experience DevOps practices (CI/CD pipeline), infrastructure as code (IaC), and tools.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively articulate technical complexities to non-technical personnel to bridge the gap between technical teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to foresee potential challenges, devise effective solutions, and adapt quickly to changes to ensure smooth execution of projects.
Experience leading projects, coordinating teams, and overseeing the implementation of solutions.
