Overview
Logic is seeking a Senior Site Installation Engineer to join our team in El Segundo, CA. You will join a systems engineering team defining the next generation of space communication systems supporting US Space Force (USSF) satellite communications. You will support Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) activities in a multidisciplinary and collaborative environment. You will interface and collaborate with SE&I team members, contractors, government civilians and members of the USSF. You will lead and support several working groups responsible for leading technical discussion, resolve and identify risk, requirement gaps, developing briefings, writing, and tracking action items, and authoring meeting minutes. The MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (MSEIT) effort provides leading edge Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) for the US Space Force’s Space Systems Center (SSC). We support the Space Force’s acquisition of state of the art satellite communications systems, providing global secure, survivable, and protected communications for our nation’s warfighters. We seek technical individuals who will thrive in a highly collaborative work environment of small teams, using the most modern tools and methodologies to tackle the challenges of integrating complex space and ground communications systems. Position Responsibilities
Supports USSF SSC Protected Tactical Enterprise (PTES) SATCOM Program Management Office (PMO) in Fielding of new SATCOM ground systems Sr. Engineer and Subject Matter Expert to PTES PMO Government Customer for all SATCOM, Site Development, System Integration, and project acceptance documentation issues Maintains the PTES Fielding schedules and actively drives PTES Fielding projects through to completion for the PTES PMO Government Customer Authors, Maintains, Modifies Requirements Documents and Interface Control Documents. Actively engages in formal Change Management/Engineering Change Request processes Collaborates with Subject Matter Experts from other PTES PMO Functional Areas, providing a Fielding perspective on issues or documents they are working Supports the PTES PMO Chief Engineer in Special Projects and High Visibility issues requiring SATCOM Fielding support Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in related Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), field (i.e. Electrical Engineers, Space Systems Engineering, etc.) 12+ years of applicable job experience in Space and Ground Systems Operations, Planning, Engineering, & Management Experience Fielding MILSATCOM systems, such as AEHF, EPS, WGS, and Tactical SATCOM or COMSATCOM Experience with Defense Information Systems Agency SATCOM and terrestrial communications Experience authoring Requirements Documents, Engineering Packages, review of supplier design proposals Willing to travel as Task requirements dictate Functional understanding of Orbital Mechanics, Timing & Synchronization, and RF Link Budget Analysis Organization capability with ability to handle competing priorities Strong interpersonal skills, communication (oral and written), and presentation skills Demonstrated ability to clearly articulate ideas, recommendations and options to customers, senior leaders, and stakeholders Ability to resolve conflicts effectively and in a professional manner Expert in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Preferred Skills and Qualifications
Understands Program Management of ACAT I through ACAT III programs Certifications in Systems Engineering (INCOSE ESEP, CSEP) Hands-on experience working in DoD SATCOM facilities or USSF Delta 8 Regional SATCOM Support Centers or Wideband SATCOM Operations Center Hands-on experience design, coordination, installation, test, and transition of MILSATCOM ground systems Demonstrated Project Management experience Experience working with military or DoD civilian clients Experience managing subcontractor and DoD Civilian suppliers Work Conditions
Work Model: On-site Travel: Average 25%, can escalate to 75% during surges Working Hours: Standard Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and hold an active Secret Clearance. This is a full-time position in El Segundo, CA. The pay range for this position is $148,000 to $186,000. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off, and additional supplemental benefits, such as professional development support.
