Univar Solutions We are seeking a hands-on director to lead performance management for the finance function, drive profitable growth, cost controls, working capital efficiency, and smart investments across the business function, contributing to the global finance team and developing standard processes. What You’ll Do
Leadership: Lead a team of 2–3 managers and analysts, establish a management process, and ensure regular interaction on business performance, operational improvement, and productivity to provide high quality service and decision support. Business partnership: Lead global leadership and 50+ business partner teams outside of finance to influence financial performance, target setting, and action plans. People development: Provide guidance and mentorship for personal and career growth and build a positive team environment. Change and continuous improvement: Act as a change agent, driving continuous improvement with finance colleagues and business leadership. Business Analysis
Evaluate monthly financial results, provide insights to guide fact-based decision making, and communicate succinctly to senior leaders. Develop close partnerships with VP-level business leaders, providing proactive financial services, early detection analytics, and sound business advice. Lead the finance team to translate data into timely management insights using appropriate KPIs. Forecasting
Develop high-quality forecasts with simple methods that drive accuracy and limited variation. Maintain high standards for MOR decks for internal and Apollo reporting. Deliver consistent P&L, NWC, and CAPEX storytelling across the global CD&S division; provide financial leadership and strategic partnership for opportunities. Financial Operations
Create visibility of cost-to-serve by ensuring appropriate charging of operating expenses across lines of business. Ensure policies, monitoring, internal controls, and practices to manage key field financial processes. Drive proper coding of expenses and implement smarter cost-center approaches; monitor CAPEX policies and planning procedures. What You’ll Need
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA and/or CPA preferred 10–15 years of finance experience with increasing responsibilities; supervisory experience required Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; SAP, OneStream, HFM, BPC experience preferred Strong financial analytics, variance analysis, and problem-solving skills Effective communication, leadership, and talent development abilities Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment and manage multiple stakeholders Where You’ll Work
Hybrid role reporting to the corporate office in Downers Grove, IL or The Woodlands, TX Pay & Benefits
Salary range: $180,000 – $195,000; eligible for incentive pay Comprehensive benefits including health, vision, dental; 401k matching and flexible time off What You Can Expect
