This role is part of EY’s SAP practice, which helps clients unlock business value through integrated technology platforms. We offer capabilities in Supply Chain, FICO, BPC, Data & Analytics, Customer, Tech/Arch, and SuccessFactors to drive operational efficiency and performance.
The opportunity: We innovate with SAP to co-create more innovative answers, drawing on our integrated competencies in tax, assurance, transactions, and risk, as well as our work in implementing SAP. Together, we help clients provide better outcomes and long-lasting results, from strategy to execution.
Responsibilities
Lead engagement delivery and manage client relationships on a daily basis.
Oversee program/project management and ensure engagement economics are met.
Develop resource plans and budgets for complex engagements.
Consistently deliver quality client service. Monitor progress, manage risk and keep key stakeholders informed about progress and outcomes.
Demonstrate effective leadership and motivation strategies within diverse teams; provide actionable feedback and coaching.
Drive business growth by generating new opportunities and presenting strategic solutions to clients; cultivate and manage business development opportunities.
Establish and sustain long-term client relationships and networks across EY practices.
Enhance client operations by optimizing end-to-end processes related to SAP Transportation Management (TM).
Configure, design, build, test, and deploy core S/4 Transportation Management; ensure integration with other solutions.
Lead interactive workshops to guide critical design decisions with clear recommendations.
Maintain accountability for client solutions and navigate SAP TM system environments.
Collaborate with technical leaders to estimate efforts for customizations and enhancements, including interfaces, extensions, and cloud implications.
Collaborate with project teams and client stakeholders to deliver standout EY S/4 Transportation Management solutions.
Skills and attributes for success To thrive in this role, you will need a blend of technical and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships and deliver exceptional results. You will lead requirement gathering, architect solutions, blueprinting, testing, workflow documentation, and functional design of SAP solutions, and work with stakeholders and the technical team to translate requirements into business solutions and manage configurations and integrations with SAP and non-SAP systems.
Strong technical skills in application functional design and technology business requirements definition.
Ability to analyze and map technology cost-benefit scenarios.
Expertise in system configuration design and business architecture frameworks.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree; a master’s degree is preferred.
Typically, 9 years of relevant experience with one or more SAP modules.
Proven leadership and management experience, with a track record of at least two full-life cycle SAP TM implementations in roles such as workstream lead, engagement lead, or Solution Architect.
Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills.
Experience managing SAP projects or work streams, including oversight of project-based team members.
Knowledge of leading practices, benchmarking, and prior consulting experience relevant to industry-specific finance and technology functions.
Ability to research client inquiries and emerging issues, including regulations and new technologies.
Willingness to travel to meet client needs; travel estimated at 40-60%.
Experience leading teams and managing change effectively.
Prior consulting experience.
SAP certification(s).
What we offer
Comprehensive compensation and benefits package. Base salary range for this job in all locations in the US is $171,600 to $392,100; in NYC Metro, WA, and CA (excluding Sacramento) it is $205,900 to $445,700. Salaries determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. Total Rewards includes medical and dental, pension and 401(k), and paid time off options.
Hybrid model: most client-facing work is in-person 40-60% of the time over an engagement, project, or year.
