Base pay range $145,000.00/yr - $190,000.00/yr The Network Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the network engineering team and managing the design, implementation, optimization, and security of the companys network infrastructure across North America. This role supports enterprise operations and large-scale manufacturing facilities by ensuring reliable, scalable, and secure network systems. The manager will drive cross-departmental initiatives, oversee daily IT operations, and align network strategies with organizational goals while mentoring and developing a high-performing engineering team. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the network engineering team, providing guidance, coaching, and performance evaluations. Plan, design, and implement enterprise-wide LAN, WAN, wireless, and data center network infrastructure. Oversee backbone networks, IT application systems, endpoint management, and daily IT operations. Ensure scalability, reliability, and high availability of networks supporting business and manufacturing facilities. Develop, implement, and maintain network security standards and policies. Manage deployment of firewalls, VPNs, and other security technologies to protect company assets. Collaborate with manufacturing, operations, and application teams to design and integrate resilient network solutions. Partner with cross-functional departments to resolve complex networking and security issues. Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee third-party service providers. Monitor, analyze, and optimize network performance while supporting capacity planning and upgrades. Prepare technical documentation and ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. 10+ years of progressive network engineering experience. 5+ years in a leadership or management role, preferably in a manufacturing or enterprise environment. Demonstrated success in large-scale network design, implementation, and operations. Strong knowledge of LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, data center, and cloud networking. Proficiency with routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), switching technologies (VLAN, STP), and TCP/IP. Hands-on experience with routers, switches, load balancers, and firewalls. Familiarity with enterprise hybrid IT environments and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Deep knowledge of network and information security best practices. Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), or equivalent certifications a plus. ITIL, CISSP, or similar credentials are a plus.
