Overview
Senior Java PL/SQL Developer/AI role at PlanIT Group, LLC. Client seeks a Senior level technical or business area expert to address a task or environment need. The role involves providing advisory support on state-of-the-art software/hardware solutions, identifying enterprise improvement goals, designing technical and business solutions, mentoring client staff, and overseeing implementation. The candidate should have a high level of diverse technical and industry experience related to systems needs analysis, systems development, and process analysis. Responsibilities
Create and maintain web pages using Oracle MOD PL/SQL packages Maintain existing applications and enhance the system per client requirements Extensive Oracle database experience Modify existing batches to incorporate new functionalities UNIX Shell scripting Analyze system issues and devise and execute remediation plans Perform code reviews and bug fixing Conduct performance tuning of existing queries and packages Comply with required standards and processes; devise approaches to ensure compliance across the team Provide complete technical and maintenance support to systems Run assigned projects solo and in a team Provide round-the-clock support as needed for assigned tasks Experience using AI-assisted development tools for enhanced productivity Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience
8+ years of experience in IT 8+ years of PL/SQL development experience UNIX, MS Windows Server experience Hands-on experience with Oracle, Java (Spring Framework), PL/SQL, Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, JSON, SQL Developer, JDeveloper, Shell Scripting, UNIX, and Linux Expertise in creating and maintaining complex PL/SQL code/packages spanning multiple schemas Interact directly with the customer on behalf of the team to resolve issues or identify new requirements Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle Maintains strong attention to detail in high-pressure situations Problem-solving confidence and knowledge Work well independently and within a team Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excellent written and oral communication skills Excellent time management and multitasking abilities Willingness to learn and acquire new knowledge Ability to oversee direct reporting resources or all staff assigned to a project Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, with 10+ years of experience (or commensurate experience) Additional Provisions
Pass client-mandated clearance processes including drug screening, criminal history check and credit check After resume approval and interview, agency provides drug screening; failure to submit results may delay clearance Interim clearance may require continued employment contingent on obtaining a sensitive clearance All candidates must be a US Citizen or have permanent resident status (Green Card) Candidate must have lived in the US for the past 5 years Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last five years (military service excluded) Seniority level
