Overview
Praescient Analytics is actively seeking an experienced
Senior Business Intelligence Analyst
to support a contract with the Department of Homeland Security. This contract will support the Global Trade Investigations (GTI) division that provides oversight and support for investigations into violations of U.S. import and export laws to ensure national security, protect the publics health and safety, and to stop predatory and illegal trade practices. The GTI division is a multi-layered response towards mitigating existing vulnerabilities within the commerce stream. This contract will support law enforcement investigations by conducting open-source intelligence support and analysis and developing new and more efficient ways to discover leads, enhance case support, and prepare cases for prosecution. Key Responsibilities
The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst will examine current intelligence processes and integrate new solutions to enhance GTIs goal of developing more leads of better quality. He or she will propose more efficient and effective processes of conducting Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) while providing full analysis of research and analysis on matters of national security to support Federal Law Enforcement investigations. The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst will have experience with extracting information from large volumes of data and clearly communicate findings and make recommendations. This individual will train and lead the Junior Data Analysts in the identification of individuals, entities, and organizations of interest to GTI investigations. The role requires collaboration with the Program Manager and Data Analysts to meet the specific analytical needs of GTI investigative units. Minimum Qualifications
Five (5) or more years developing data solutions end to end, from gathering requirements from business stakeholders to implementation and delivery. Five (5) or more years creating automated and user-friendly reports, dashboards, and other data visualization tools that are easily accessible and consumable for requestors to help drive decision-making and case progression. Four (4) or more years experience in open-source intelligence data support, PED (processing, exploitation dissemination) of collected data and follow-up research. Four (4) or more years experience in mining or scraping large amounts of data from open and dark web; perform ETL (extract, transform, load) processes on collected data. Four (4) or more years experience in social media exploitation, trend development, illicit network analysis, and identification of hidden associations. Three (3) or more years experience in data analysis including trend analysis, link analysis, and identification of hidden associations. Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited university.
