Senior Operations Manager role at
V2X Inc . Location: Buckley SFB. This position provides strategic and operational leadership for the execution of large-scale infrastructure modernization projects, overseeing daily operations, resource allocation, risk management, and performance tracking. Serves as the principal interface between government stakeholders, program management, and field operations to ensure coordinated delivery on time, within scope, and in compliance with requirements. Responsibilities
Manage NOC and on-site engineering staff, schedules, and resources across multiple facilities/locations. Maintain on-call coverage lists and coordinate contingency staff. Ensure successful annual COOP/DR exercises. Support Program Manager to schedule, coordinate, and host required customer meetings. Support Earned Value Management (EVM), input, and Integrated Baseline Reviews. Support development of and reviews travel requests and purchasing requests. Oversee procurement of supplies, materials, and equipment in accordance with USG requirements. Oversee logistics support activities (warehousing, transporting, shipping, tracking, delivering, staging equipment) for all equipment to installation sites. Assist with pre-implementation coordination activities. Manage all program/project activities, including WITO, surveys, logistics, safety, quality, installation, and O&M. Monitor progress to meet deadlines, standards, and cost targets. Provide input; prepare and review deliverables and project documentation to meet milestones and SLAs. Submit daily reports and other documentation as requested. Identify, report, and implement approved risk mitigation plans. Assist with Transition-In / Transition-Out plans. Evaluate performance results and recommend major changes affecting short-term project growth and success. Manage/supervise others. Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio); working knowledge of MS Project and EVM. Qualifications
Education / Certifications: (Preferred) Master’s Degree in Business Administration; Or Bachelor’s Degree; Or High School Diploma or Associate Degree; 30-hour OSHA Construction safety class (Preferred); PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Experience / Skills: 10 years with BA/BS degree; or minimum of 12 years as a Network Plant Engineer supporting ISP/OSP solutions on large, complex networks; DoD Secret clearance required. Skills: Proficient with MS Office Suite; working knowledge of MS Project and EVM; experience supporting DoD projects, specifically network modernization.
