Consumer Identity ML is the data science and machine learning team inside Capital One's AI foundation organization. We deliver real-time, personalized, intelligent customer experiences across Capital One’s digital products, including our website, mobile app, emails, and chatbot. We partner with product and engineering teams to build data and modeling platforms that enable deep customer understanding and delightful experiences across our applications. As part of Consumer ML, you will: Explore billions of clickstream events to discover patterns in customer behavior and model key customer outcomes Develop real-time models that use vast amounts of data to anticipate customers’ needs and deliver the right options at the right time Develop models that keep our most important customer data accurate, fight fraud and other bad behavior, and enable seamless digital experiences across products Role Description
In Consumer Identity ML, you will work across all phases of the data science lifecycle, including: Build machine learning models from design through training, evaluation, and validation, and partner with engineering teams to improve operationalization in scalable, resilient production systems serving 50+ million customers Collaborate with business and product teams to conduct experiments that guide improvements to customer experiences and business outcomes in domains like marketing, servicing, and fraud prevention Write software (Python, etc.) to collect, explore, visualize, and analyze numerical and textual data (billions of transactions, clicks, payments) using tools like Spark The Ideal Candidate Is
Innovative: you continually research and evaluate emerging technologies and stay current on state-of-the-art methods and applications Creative: you thrive on solving big, undefined problems and are not afraid to share new ideas Technical: you are comfortable with open-source languages and have hands-on experience developing data science solutions using open-source tools and cloud platforms Statistically-minded: you have built models, validated them, back-tested them, and understand confusion matrices and ROC curves; experience with clustering, classification, sentiment analysis, time series, and deep learning A data guru: you can retrieve, combine, and analyze data from diverse sources and structures; understanding the data is key to great data science Qualifications
Basic Qualifications: Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, one of the following with an expectation to obtain by the start date: A Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related) plus 5 years of data analytics experience A Master's Degree in a quantitative field or an MBA with a quantitative concentration plus 3 years of data analytics experience A PhD in a quantitative field Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree in STEM plus 3 years of deep learning experience, or PhD in STEM Specialized experience in Information Retrieval, NLP, Data-centric AI, and Knowledge Graphs Track record of driving innovation, publishing, and communicating work in industry At least 3 years’ experience in PyTorch/TensorFlow At least 3 years’ experience with machine learning At least 1 year of experience with AWS Sponsorship and Salary Capital One will consider sponsoring qualified applicants for employment authorization.
