Job Summary
Senior Vice President, Portfolio Strategy, Royal Bank of Canada (US), New York, NY:
Work with EVP, 1LOD Credit Risk and Portfolio Management to assess current state, develop a strategic and tactical execution plan, implement and maintain the policy, procedures and processes that align CNB's business strategy with heightened regulatory standards. Partner collaboratively with Executive Leadership, Risk Management, Finance and other stakeholders to create and implement a plan and structure to identify risks and the appropriate actions to take (i.e., mitigate, eliminate, accept and document). Develop appropriate governance and oversight practices across all LOBs in collaboration with Risk Management (i.e. 2LOD). Provide oversight and monitor a comprehensive risk appetite framework across all LOBs to ensure alignment to the overall CNB and RBC respective risk appetite and frameworks. Lead the development and implementation of new programs/strategies, to address regulatory and risk management requirements. Analyze and evaluate data that effects the technical, operational, and business functions and provide insight to the practical impacts/implications to the business line. Build, maintain, and operationalize management systems supporting the 1LOD Monitoring and analytics functions and any connected committees. Monitor regulatory changes that would impact the LOBs. Establishing and cultivating strong working relationships with all stakeholders. Lead remediation and development on regulatory matters and operational issues. Build and sustain effective relationships and alliances both internally and across all lines of business and staff areas to help deliver results and to ensure opportunities are identified, analyzed, and managed appropriately across the CNB/RBC ecosystem. Partner with team members to contribute concise communication materials for senior management. Develop presentations for internal and external meeting that are compelling, concise, and graphical to convey message.

Full time employment, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, $225,000 per year.
Minimum Requirements MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Mathematics, Accounting, Finance, or a related field and 10 years of related work experience, of which 5 years are progressive post-baccalaureate related work experience.
Must have 10 years of experience in each of the following:
Credit portfolio analysis, credit underwriting or credit adjudication;
Excel and data modelling, including VBA;
Data extraction using SQL or Python; and
Communication to senior management, specifically articulation of strategy based on large data analysis.
Must have 5 years of experience in Data Visualization including Tableau, PowerPoint, and PowerBI.
Domestic travel required up to 10%.
The base salary for this job is $225,000 per year. This salary does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
