Operate drones to support various agricultural activities, such as planning seed, monitoring crop health, and applying fertilizers or pesticides Gather data through drone flights and analyze it to make informed decisions about crop management and yield optimization Oversee the maintenance of drone equipment and troubleshoot any technical issues that arise Ensure all drone operations comply with relevant regulations and safety standards Continuously seek ways to improve drone technology and its application in agriculture to enhance productivity and sustainability What you will bring

2+ years of agricultural experience 2+ years of experience operating drones or 250 hours drone flight log FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate Operate agricultural spray drones following FAA regulations and company guidelines Conduct pre-flight checks to ensure the proper functioning of the drone and its spraying equipment Safely handle, mix, and load pesticide and fertilizer chemicals according to label directions and work orders Collaborate with agricultural professionals to plan and execute precise pesticide and fertilizer applications based on crop needs and growth stages Maintain and troubleshoot UAS equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime Monitor weather conditions and other factors that may affect drone operations, making informed decisions to ensure safety and effectiveness Keep detailed records of flights, applications, and equipment maintenance for compliance and reporting purposes Serve as a trusted resource in assisting in the development and improvement of UAS Compensation & Benefits

The estimated salary that Indeed, Glassdoor and LinkedIn suggested does not represent Nutrien's compensation structure. The salary range for this role, in Salinas, CA, is between $70,000 - $90,000. While we provide this range as general guidance, several factors are considered when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, candidate skill set, experience and training, licensure and certifications, work location, and other business and organizational needs. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location. We provide an attractive benefits package that includes comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance and disability coverage for positions working more than 30 hours per week. We also have a retirement program with generous matching employer contributions.
