About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Corporate Actions
Product Manager
to own and drive the platform and operating model transformation for BNY's Corporate Actions offering. You will be a strategic thought leader, ready to build a best in class service offering for Asset Servicing clients through modern product design, supported by AI and data. The role demands deep subject matter expertise in Income and Corporate Action event lifecycle, paired with a strong commercial mindset and the ability to drive strategic initiatives that deliver measurable client and business outcomes.
You will be responsible for managing the full product lifecycle and ensuring that our solutions are tailored to meet the evolving needs of BNY clients while maintaining best-in-class operational risk controls. The role will require the ability to build relationships with market vendors, represent BNY in industry events, and partner with the Operations Practice and Client Platforms across BNY, including meeting with platinum clients. You will lead a team of Product Owners based around the globe and set the priorities for PODs that deliver against your vision in partnership with Engineering and Operations.
Key Responsibilities
Product Leadership, Strategy and Execution
Define and own the platform strategy for Corporate Actions and Income
Own the end-to-end product development lifecycle, including prioritization, UAT, performance monitoring, and post-launch assessments
Define and lead the Corporate Actions platform roadmap, with an emphasis on delivering tangible value to clients and operational stakeholders
Define and own the Objectives and Key Results to demonstrate the value delivered by the Corporate Events group with supporting Management Information
Define, own and prioritize the backlog of requirements to drive the roadmap
Partner with internal stakeholders, including Engineering, sales, operations, risk and control teams, to validate vision, outcomes and own execution
Proactively identify market trends, client pain points, and emerging regulatory developments to inform product enhancements and innovation
Ensure product strategy aligns with the firm's broader AI Goals
Subject Matter Expertise
Act as a trusted expert on Corporate Actions processing across event types (mandatory, voluntary, and complex restructurings), regional market practices, and industry regulations
Provide in-depth product, operational and technical guidance to cross-functional teams and clients, including training, incident support, and product positioning
Stay current with global market infrastructure changes and their impact on corporate actions, including ISO standards, ScORE, and CSDR/SRD II
Client Engagement & Advocacy
Serve as a champion for the client, building strong relationships with key institutional clients, understanding their needs, and integrating feedback into the product roadmap
Lead strategic client discussions, working groups, and product demonstrations to align solutions with business requirements
Collaborate with Client Service, Sales, and Relationship Management teams to support new client onboarding and drive product adoption
Technology & Operational Excellence
Translate product vision into actionable requirements, partnering with technology and operations to develop scalable, resilient, and automated solutions
Partner closely with Operations, Control, Risk, and Compliance to ensure products and processes meet all relevant control and regulatory standards
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and incident metrics to drive continuous improvement and reduce operational risk
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Advanced/graduate degree preferred
10+ years of related work experience is required
Significant experience in product management, operations, or technology leadership within financial services
Product leader with a demonstrable history of delivering value to business and clients in agile environments
Strong knowledge of end to end Corporate Events Lifecycle and market standards
Experience delivering high quality solutions to operations teams
Ability to work in fast-paced, client-driven environments with high expectations for data accuracy and performance
Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across technical and business teams
