Are you ready to lead the development of data-driven solutions to Spectrum's business challenges as a Principal Data Scientist I? In this role, you will utilize your analytical, statistical, and programming skills to clean, aggregate, and analyze large data sets, interpreting results to provide valuable insights. You will apply your strong command of statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms to determine key areas for investment, synthesize actionable findings, and present them to audiences with diverse agendas and varying technical expertise. Responsibilities

Plan and lead the data science lifecycle, including requirements gathering, data exploration, model prototyping, validation, and productionalization Ensure data science products are flexible, modular, and have a reusable code base Identify future technical needs to enhance organizational capabilities Coordinate technical activities across projects and the organization Interact with stakeholders to understand business needs, communicate project status, and build relationships Anticipate hurdles and recommend solutions aligned with business requirements Lead exploratory data analyses for new data sources and uses, establishing data correlations Mentor and train junior team members, setting strategic vision for projects Working Conditions

Required Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, operations research and/or equivalent combination of education and experience Experience

8+ years of data manipulation and statistical modeling as a Scientist, Consultant, Architect, DBA, or Engineer 8+ years of SQL/R/SAS programming 3+ years of leading the design, development and deployment of machine learning and analytics models Skills

Advanced-level skills in one or more scripting, analysis, or ETL languages, ability to read and adapt others\' code, and quickly learn new languages or techniques Expert-level skills with R and/or Python (including relevant packages) in support of advanced analytics Strong foundation in major machine learning model families (regression, decision trees, clustering, SVMs, neural networks) Experience with modern ML tools to produce model scoring code Strong mathematical foundation (calculus, probability, statistics) and ability to learn additional concepts independently Ability to synthesize and present results to leadership and diverse audiences Understanding of data architecture, data warehouse and data marts Desire to continually expand skills and to teach others Experience with NoSQL, key-value, columnar, graph, and document stores Extensive experience with large data sets and tools for obtaining, transforming, and storing data on Big Data and streaming services Proficiency with Linux/Unix/CentOS Pattern recognition and predictive modeling skills Attention to detail with ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks Ability to identify and resolve end-to-end performance, network, server, cloud, and platform issues Preferred Qualifications

Education

Master's degree in a related field Experience

Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and/or Snowflake Background with cable and/or telecommunications Additional Information

$110,800.00 and $196,400.00 . The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
