Responsibilities Position Summary
The Azure Cloud Administrator is responsible for managing and supporting Greenleaf Hospitality Group’s cloud-based infrastructure and services within Microsoft Azure. This role ensures the security, availability, and performance of virtual machines, storage, identity services, and associated Azure resources. The ideal candidate has deep technical expertise in Azure administration, a proactive approach to system monitoring and optimization, and the ability to support hybrid connections between on-premises systems and the cloud.
Key Responsibilities
Azure & Cloud Administration
Deploy, configure, and manage Azure virtual machines, storage accounts, and resource groups.
Administer Azure Active Directory, including identity, access, and security policies.
Configure and maintain backup, recovery, and replication strategies in Azure.
Monitor system performance, availability, and costs using Azure Monitor and related tools.
Implement and enforce governance policies, tagging standards, and compliance requirements.
Security & Compliance
Apply Azure security best practices, including role-based access control (RBAC) and conditional access policies.
Maintain compliance with organizational and industry security requirements.
Manage vulnerability scanning, patching, and remediation in Azure-hosted systems.
Operational Support
Provide tier 3 support for escalated infrastructure-related issues within Azure.
Maintain clear and accurate documentation of configurations, procedures, and architecture.
Perform routine updates, patch management, and configuration reviews to ensure optimal performance and security.
Project & Continuous Improvement
Collaborate with stakeholders on cloud-based initiatives, migrations, and infrastructure enhancements.
Evaluate and recommend new Azure services and capabilities to improve performance, security, or cost efficiency.
Qualifications What You Need for this Position
Required:
3–5+ years of experience administering Microsoft Azure environments.
Hands-on experience with Azure Active Directory, virtual machines, storage solutions, and cost optimization.
Strong understanding of Azure networking concepts (VNets, subnets, NSGs) in the context of cloud systems.
Proven ability to troubleshoot complex cloud and hybrid infrastructure issues.
Preferred:
Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) certification.
Experience with PowerShell for automation and scripting.
Familiarity with Azure Site Recovery (ASR) and backup solutions.
Knowledge of hybrid cloud/on-premises integrations.
