What We\'re Looking For: We are seeking a strategic and innovative Associate Director to drive impactful commerce strategies for a large CPG brand in the retail space. The ideal candidate is passionate about understanding consumer behavior and leveraging data to create engaging campaigns. You will lead cross-functional collaboration to deliver best-in-class commerce solutions, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and stay ahead of emerging trends while championing client success and delivering exceptional results. Responsibilities
Develop and articulate comprehensive engagement and retail strategies aligned with clients\' objectives and business goals. Lead integrated channel and communications plans ensuring consistent messaging and optimal reach (in-store, online, social media, email). Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats in retail. Identify and analyze data, market trends, consumer behavior, and the competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions. Stay informed about emerging technologies and platforms within commerce; identify opportunities for innovation. Serve as a primary strategic contact, building strong relationships with clients. Present strategic recommendations and insights clearly and persuasively to clients. Proactively identify client needs and opportunities for growth; manage expectations and ensure alignment across projects. Collaborate with creative, media, technology, and account management teams for seamless execution. Provide strategic guidance to internal teams and facilitate internal workshops to brainstorm innovative ideas. Partner with the media team to prepare and present performance reports highlighting findings and recommendations. Who You Are
Seasoned strategist with 6+ years in retail strategy, engagement marketing, or related fields, preferably in an agency, CPG company, research firm, or consulting. Proven expert in channel and communications planning across multiple channels. Experience in Commerce Strategy with key retailers and channels (Drug/Value, Grocery, Target, etc.). Critical thinker who develops innovative solutions to complex problems. Proficient with database tools such as MRI Simmons, Mintel, Infegy, YPulse. Excellent communicator, able to articulate ideas clearly both verbally and in writing; strong relationship builder. Organized with the ability to manage timelines and multiple deliverables concurrently. What You'll Need
Proven experience developing and implementing successful retail and engagement strategies. Ability to analyze data, market trends, and consumer behavior to inform strategic decisions. Strong understanding of the retail landscape and evolving commerce space. Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Interest in innovation and staying ahead in the commerce industry.
