$95,000.00/yr - $135,000.00/yr Job description summary: Position serves as FSO and CPSO on several programs in Monterey, CA and Goleta, CA. Responsible for implementing and maintaining applicable security policies and procedures for 32 CFR/NISPOM, Special Access, and SCI Program activities. Standard FSO/CPSO duties include processing clearances/accesses, submitting/receiving visit requests, document control, physical security, program security, and security awareness. The position may also function as part of the COMSEC account management team. Some travel to Goleta for office support, training, and project support may be required. Responsibilities
Implement and maintain security policies and procedures for 32 CFR/NISPOM, Special Access, and SCI Program activities. Process clearances and accesses; submit and receive visit requests; manage document control and accountability where applicable. Oversee physical security, program security, and security awareness activities (briefings and debriefings). Contribute to COMSEC account management at the facilities. Coordinate with standard office tools and security databases (e.g., Microsoft Office, NISS, DISS, IC Customer systems) and personnel security databases. Travel to Goleta facility as needed for operations, training, and project support. Support occasional after-hours security needs. Polygraph: individual must agree to undergo a government-administered polygraph. SAP experience is preferred. Qualifications
Minimum 10 years’ experience in a NISPOM, SAP, or SCI environment. In-scope (within 5 years) T5 (SSBI), T5R (SBPR), and/or current CE investigation; ability to obtain TS clearance with SCI eligibility. Knowledge of standards: NISPOM DoD 5220.22-M, 32 CFR Part 117, DoD Directive 5205.07, DCID/ICD policies and regulations, and related documents. Working knowledge of DISS, NISS, and TALON databases/tools preferred. Excellent communication (speaking and writing), organizational, and customer service skills; may require occasional after-hours availability. Willingness to travel to Goleta facility; responsible for security operations at both sites. Ability to transfer/obtain/maintain a U.S. government (TS//SCI and/or SAP) security clearance.
