Operational Steward: Oversee the day-to-day operations of plants, buildings, and equipment, ensuring reliable performance. Construction Leader: Lead construction projects, collaborating with architects, engineers, and contractors to implement innovative designs. Biomedical Services Director: Manage and enhance biomedical services to leverage technological advancements for patient care. Budget Maestro: Prepare and manage budgets aligned with strategic priorities. Compliance Guardian: Ensure adherence to codes, regulations, and Joint Commission standards; maintain the electronic Statement of Conditions (eSOC) for hospitals. Strategic Collaborator: Build strong relationships with Operations Managers, Biomedical Managers, and Administration to address operational challenges and improve efficiencies. Insightful Reporter: Compile and present reports on building and equipment issues to inform strategic decisions. What You'll Bring (Qualifications)
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) or equivalent education/experience. Specialized Training: Coursework or training in electrical and/or mechanical fields. Experience: 10+ years of hospital plant experience in facilities of 500,000 sq. ft. or greater. Leadership: 5 years of direct supervisory experience. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex concepts clearly. Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with diverse teams and stakeholders. Organizational Acumen: Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects and priorities. Problem-Solving: Innovative problem-solving abilities with strategic foresight. Collaborative Spirit: Ability to work with Administration, Department Directors, medical staff, and planning teams. Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of codes, regulations, electrical and mechanical systems, and construction processes. Why Join Us
