Overview
We are seeking a seasoned
Data Architect
to lead enterprise data strategy and architecture within a
Microsoft GCC High environment . The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Microsoft’s data ecosystem—including
Power BI ,
SSIS , and
Azure Data Factory —with a proven track record of implementing secure, governed, and scalable data infrastructure. In this role, you will help transform raw operational, manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain data into trusted assets that support analytics, compliance, and decision-making across the organization. Base pay range
$75.00/hr - $85.00/hr 4-6 month contract with possibility of extending Aerospace industry and requires all candidates to be US Citizens. Key Responsibilities
Architect and maintain enterprise-wide data infrastructure tailored for aerospace operations in a
Microsoft GCC High environment , ensuring security, scalability, and compliance. Design, implement, and optimize
data pipelines
using
SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
and
Azure Data Factory (ADF) . Lead the development of
self-service data platforms , empowering users to access curated and governed data assets with minimal IT involvement. Define and implement
data governance strategies , including
master data management (MDM) ,
data cataloging , and metadata standards. Ensure
transparency and traceability
of data through architecture patterns that support
data lineage
and compliance (e.g., ITAR, DFARS, NIST). Collaborate with business stakeholders across engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing to gather requirements and align architecture with business goals. Build and maintain robust and performant
Power BI datasets, data models, and dashboards
to support real-time and historical analytics. Evaluate and integrate technologies such as
Microsoft Purview
for enterprise data cataloging, lineage tracking, and compliance visibility. Develop architectural documentation, best practices, and standards for the broader data and analytics team. Required Qualifications
Proven experience as a
Data Architect
working within the
Microsoft ecosystem
in
GCC High
or other secure cloud environments. Strong proficiency in
Power BI , including dataset design, DAX, dataflows, and governance integration. Extensive hands-on experience with
SSIS
and
Azure Data Factory
for building and managing complex data pipelines. Demonstrated ability to design and implement
self-service data platforms
and infrastructure at scale. Deep understanding of
data governance , including
master data management ,
data cataloging , and metadata management practices. Familiarity with
aerospace industry
data domains such as supply chain, inventory management, quality assurance, and engineering design. Strong SQL development and optimization skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with
Microsoft Purview , including implementation of data scanning, lineage, and classification features. Knowledge of
compliance frameworks
relevant to aerospace (e.g., ITAR, DFARS, NIST 800-53, CMMC). Understanding of
modern data architecture patterns , such as lakehouse, medallion architecture, or event-driven data pipelines. Experience integrating Power BI with data sources such as Azure Synapse, SQL Server, and data lakes. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical field. Job details
