Overview
The Enterprise Architect plays a critical role in shaping and delivering enterprise-level technology solutions for managed services clients. This role blends deep technical expertise with strategic leadership to ensure IT systems and architectures are secure, scalable, and aligned with client and internal business objectives. It requires working with account teams in pre-sales efforts, developing solution roadmaps, and presenting technical strategies to executive and client stakeholders. This is a client-facing leadership role that requires technical mastery, business acumen, and the ability to clearly communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences, including healthcare executives, physicians, CIOs, and CFOs. Responsibilities
Architecture & Strategy: Define, develop, and maintain enterprise architecture frameworks that align technology solutions with client and MSP business goals Design and optimize Azure/M365 cloud solutions with a focus on scalability, security, and cost effectiveness Develop enterprise-wide security architectures that adhere to NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, and HIPAA frameworks Continuously evaluate and recommend emerging technologies to enhance platform performance and client outcomes Pre-Sales & Client Engagement: Partner with sales and account teams to design tailored technology solutions Participate in client presentations, RFP responses, and proposal development Translate client requirements into architectural blueprints and solution roadmaps Serve as a trusted advisor, simplifying technical concepts for executive and physician audiences Leadership & Delivery: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams Collaborate with project managers, analysts, and client stakeholders to ensure on-time, on-budget project delivery Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to strengthen cybersecurity posture Maintain up-to-date documentation, policies, and architecture roadmaps Experience
12–15 years in IT systems engineering of enterprise IT platforms 8–10 years in enterprise IT architecture within managed services or consulting 5+ years in security design and implementation Proven expertise designing and deploying Azure cloud solutions Strong leadership track record guiding technical teams on large-scale projects Pre-sales or client-facing solution design experience preferred Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) TOGAF Certified Enterprise Architect CISM (Certified Information Security Manager) Knowledge Areas
Cloud computing principles, serverless architectures, and cloud-native development Enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman) Security frameworks and standards (NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA) Microsoft Azure services, including networking, identity, and cloud security DevSecOps methodologies and automation tools IT infrastructure networking, databases, storage solutions Authentication protocols (OAuth, SAML) and compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA) Continuous learning mindset, staying current with industry trends and technologies Skills & Abilities
Strategic problem-solving and analytical skills Architecture modeling (ArchiMate, Visio, Lucidchart) Project management of multiple simultaneous initiatives Automation & scripting (PowerShell, Terraform, ARM templates) Ability to align IT initiatives with business objectives Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Leadership and mentorship, fostering technical growth and collaboration Other Details
Salary range: $200,000 - $230,000 per year. This role is full-time and located in the enterprise technology space with opportunities to influence strategy and client outcomes.
