This is a Career Indefinite position for a Counterintelligence Officer to provide counterintelligence support services to the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center (SLAC) in Menlo Park, CA as part of the Lawrence Livermore Field Office's (LLFO) area of responsibility. After onboarding and training at the LLFO Program Office in Livermore, CA, the primary assignment location will be SLAC with weekly visits to the LLFO Program Office at LLNL. The position offers a hybrid schedule with the flexibility to work from home one day per week. Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive, diverse, and multi-faceted CI/Counterterrorism (CT) investigations. Collect and review information from open and secure sources to assess and mitigate CI/CT threats related to foreign visits, travel, and contacts. Produce detailed and accurate intelligence reports/records in appropriate intelligence databases and investigative case files. Conduct and present face-to-face briefings/debriefings and presentations to SLAC personnel regarding hosting foreign nationals, foreign travel, and specific CI/CT risks/threats. Support CI outreach by refining, developing, and presenting CI awareness and training material to all employees. Enter, retrieve, and manipulate information within SLAC systems and DOE CI databases. Perform other duties as assigned. Additional Responsibilities at K03.3 Level

Conduct complex CI/CT investigations and coordinate joint task forces with internal SLAC divisions, DOE IN, other labs' CI programs, the USIC, and local law enforcement. Address novel CI/CT issues with little precedence and prepare succinct recommendations for SLAC senior management; develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Provide guidance to other team members and lead collaborative projects/investigations with peers and external partners. Qualifications

Ability to secure and maintain U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship. Ability to obtain and maintain Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access. Note that current active Q or Top Secret clearance does not guarantee SCI access approval. Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience employing investigative procedures and techniques, including researching, interviewing, and documentation specifically concerning CI investigations. Experience identifying foreign government missions and collections processes, as well as U.S. methods of intelligence collection and dissemination. Knowledge and experience on national security issues related to the USIC. Extensive understanding of databases, software, and tools used for intelligence research and assessment of foreign capabilities. Specialized training/subject matter expertise such as counterespionage, interviewing, counterproliferation, weapons systems, and/or foreign intelligence services. Working knowledge of automated business tools and MS Office; familiarity with basics of hardware, software, and networks. Experience interpreting and applying governmental and organizational policies, procedures, orders, and regulations. Additional Qualifications at K03.3 Level

Significant experience in complex CI/CT investigations and related procedures. Significant experience identifying foreign government missions and collection processes; significant specialized training in espionage, counterproliferation, weapons systems, and/or foreign intelligence services.
