Family Health Centers of San Diego (FHCSD) is passionate about providing exceptional health care to all, especially underserved communities with limited health care options. Founded by a Latina grandmother/community advocate over 50 years ago in Barrio Logan, FHCSD has grown into one of the largest community health systems in the country. With over 90 sites, over 227,000 patients, and over 1.1 million healthcare visits last year, we provide a wide variety of health care and outreach services to a very diverse patient population. We are proud of our mission, our lasting community impact, and the cultural and individual diversity of our staff.
FHCSD is now one of the largest behavioral health services providers in San Diego County and our Mental Health Department is continuing to expand. We are currently seeking an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW), or Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) to join our team. This is one of our largest integrated clinics and it offers a wide range of comprehensive health care services. This creates a great opportunity for associate therapists to learn from a multidisciplinary team to fully support the mental health of your patients.
“Why I’m here at FHCSD is because it’s a really important place for folks to get access to mental health services…. They’re doing great work to think about the whole person. Not just the physical health, but the mental health side.”
Mandy K. Cohen, MD, MPH, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director
