Position Overview

The Assistant Property Manager plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of a large mixed-use community in Boston, which includes residential apartments, office and retail tenants, and a public parking garage. This role is responsible for overseeing leasing activities, tenant relations, property maintenance, financial performance, and assisting with team management to ensure efficient and effective property operations. Salary/Hourly Rate:

$65k - $75k plus bonus Responsibilities Assist in managing daily operations of the mixed-use community including common areas and facilities. Ensure the property is well-maintained, secure & compliant with local regulations. Support property inspections. Address maintenance, cleanliness & operational issues. Show available units and spaces to prospective tenants. Assist in lease renewals, applications, and lease administration. Foster positive relationships with tenants. Ensure high levels of tenant satisfaction across all property types Assist in preparing budgets and financial reports, tracking expenses and income. Oversee rent collections, payment processing, and lease compliance. Maintain tenant records and financial documents. Prepare reports on property performance, occupancy, and financial discrepancies. Prioritize and complete work orders. Coordinate with third-party vendors Assist in marketing available apartments & supporting community events. Comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including Fair Housing laws and safety codes. Ensure property insurance policies and safety procedures are up to date. Assist in supervising, training, and scheduling staff, including leasing agents, maintenance teams, and administrative personnel.

Required Experience/Skills

Assist in daily operations of a large mixed-use community, including residential, office, retail spaces, common areas, and a public garage. Ensure the property is well-maintained, secure, and compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations. Support property inspections and address maintenance, cleanliness, and operational issues. Manage work orders and coordinate with third-party vendors for timely service. Show available units/spaces to prospective tenants and assist with leasing, renewals, and applications. Maintain positive tenant relationships and ensure high levels of satisfaction across all property types. Oversee rent collections, lease compliance, and maintain accurate tenant and financial records. Assist with budgeting, financial reporting, and tracking income/expenses. Prepare reports on property performance, occupancy, and financial status. Support marketing efforts and community events. Help supervise, train, and schedule on-site staff including leasing, maintenance, and admin teams.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree preferred.
