This position supports the Airborne Multifunction Systems (AMS) organization and focuses on reliability engineering to meet customer and program objectives. What You’ll Get To Do

The Senior Principal Reliability Engineer will define and implement reliability engineering programs to achieve customer (internal and external) and program reliability objectives. Develop, coordinate, and conduct reliability studies and evaluations of engineering design for development, production, and sustainment phases. Support requirement allocations and flow down to lower assembly levels. Develop reliability analyses (e.g., reliability predictions and complex system modeling, FMECAs, de-rating, RBD development, Fault Tree). Working knowledge of reliability technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and statistical concepts. Define and implement reliability FRACAS programs to prioritize opportunities for affordability improvements. Chair/organize Failure Review Boards (FRBs), data mining, trend identification, prioritization of failure modes, investigation, and corrective action closure. Provide feedback into RCCA initiatives. Develop plans and lead reliability growth programs (including reliability growth analysis, scoring conference support, etc.). Support subcontractor evaluation, selection, and coordination with respect to reliability needs. Prepare, present and participate in design reviews. Engage with external customers and internal stakeholders to generate high-quality work products on schedule and on budget. Identify continuous improvement opportunities as reliability tasks are performed. Support program Engineering Configuration Change Board (CCB) and Corrective Action Board (CAB). Interpret engineering drawings/schematics. Note:

This position is contingent upon contract award and the ability to obtain an active DoD Secret Clearance or the successful transfer of an active DoD Secret Clearance prior to start. Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience, master’s degree with 6 years of experience or a Ph.D. with 4 years of experience in Physics or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics fields; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. U.S. Citizenship required. Final DoD Secret Clearance. 5 years of experience collaborating across functional teams (systems engineers, design engineers, component engineers, mission assurance, manufacturing, test, and program management) with successful outcomes. 5 years of experience performing reliability predictions utilizing standards such as Mil-Hdbk-217, VITA 51.1, PoF, field evaluations, etc. 5 years of experience performing analyses including FMECA, FTA, complex system modeling, derating/stress analysis, etc. 5 years of experience planning, conducting and managing Reliability programs, including reliability testing. 5 years of experience utilizing Windchill Quality Solutions and Reliasoft reliability tools. 5 years of experience implementing subcontractor control and requirement flow down. 5 years of experience contributing to and/or delivering technical artifacts to internal/external customers. Preferred Qualifications

Advanced degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics or related technical fields. Current/active DoD Top Secret Clearance or higher. Understanding of maintainability, testability, and logistic support practices aligned with system safety and human factors in reliability. Familiarity with design and manufacturing processes across design and production phases. Experience identifying and mitigating reliability risks. Experience with proposal development and contract negotiations. Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies.
