Overview
Senior Unified Communications Specialist. This role will provide support in the migration of legacy Avaya / Nortel systems to Microsoft Teams and EVoIP solutions for a large Federal Enterprise project.
Responsibilities
Assists in the planning, design, and implementation of communications networks.
Responsible for providing assistance and technical support for network design activities.
Assists in the review / assessment of user needs. May conduct feasibility studies for projects.
May assist in the evaluation and selection of equipment.
Provides systems guidance for current and proposed investments in telecommunications and network facilities and / or services from the development of communications software through financial implementation review.
Research present and future communication technologies. Develops telecommunications solutions to address user needs.
Assists in the design, development, and testing of communications software interface programs.
Requires knowledge of communication protocols, hardware, and real-time operating system programming.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Systems, or related IT Management or equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience
Minimum of 10 years of Computer Science or Information Systems experience or related
Experience in deploying Microsoft Teams and EVoIP solutions
Requirements
U.S. Citizenship is required
Must possess an active TS clearance at the time of application, be willing and able to obtain SCI access, and pass a CI polygraph.
This role is onsite 5days / week in DC.
Compensation and Benefits Salary Range :
$45-55 / hr (Compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, skills, education, certifications, seniority, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.)
