Summary In this role, you will lead the design and execution of qualitative and quantitative research to uncover customer, market, and product insights. You will act as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders, translating intelligence into actionable strategies that shape product planning, go-to-market approaches, and client engagement. You will synthesize findings into compelling narratives, deliver high-impact presentations, and ensure insights drive growth, innovation, and client relevance across Vizient’s portfolio. Responsibilities Act as a strategic advisor to senior stakeholders, leveraging research and insights to inform decisions and drive business growth. Build and execute learning agendas across key business units (e.g., Spend Management, Consulting, Product, Data & Digital, Enterprise). Design and lead research initiatives, including segmentation, persona development, message testing, and value proposition validation. Uncover behavioral, attitudinal, and contextual insights to shape buyer decision-making and go-to-market strategies. Translate research findings into clear, actionable strategies that influence product planning, marketing direction, and business priorities. Identify whitespace opportunities and assess product-market fit through qualitative insights and data analytics. Develop and maintain client journey maps that highlight touchpoints, pain points, and opportunity moments across the B2B lifecycle. Serve as the voice of the client, integrating VoC insights into brand, product, and customer experience strategies. Partner with the Research Center of Excellence to ensure methodological rigor, enablement, and integration of strategic feedback. Craft executive-ready narratives and visualizations that connect research insights to strategic planning. Deliver high-impact presentations, briefings, and workshops to drive alignment across Marketing, Product, and Strategy teams. Manage multiple projects and research streams with minimal oversight, ensuring timely, high-quality deliverables. Qualifications Relevant degree in Marketing or related field preferred. Advanced degree preferred. 7 or more years of relevant experience in B2B customer insights, marketing research or strategic intelligence required. Strong expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies (e.g., interviews, focus groups, surveys, MaxDiff, conjoint, brand tracking, segmentation). Proven ability to synthesize insights into actionable business strategies (e.g., market sizing, trends, performance analysis). Excellent storytelling and presentation skills for executive audiences. Demonstrated success managing multiple complex projects simultaneously. Ability to collaborate effectively across Marketing, Product, Strategy, and Consulting teams. Experience with customer journey mapping and voice-of-customer programs preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Vendor oversight capabilities. Experience working in matrixed B2B environments—healthcare or professional services preferred. Compensation and Benefits Estimated Hiring Range: The current salary range for this role is $117,600.00 to $206,000.00. This position is also incentive eligible.
