Brown University Health Summary Reporting to the Director of Procure to Pay, this role provides system support, programming, and analysis to assist in the selection, implementation, and ongoing support of Supply Chain application software, including all interfaces necessary to assure a high-value, widely accessible, comprehensive, integrated information network which meet or exceeds customer needs. Regularly function as project lead for complex projects crossing multiple systems, platforms, and affiliates. The Supply Chain Systems Administrator will perform the essential job duties and functions listed below with the overall objective of helping to improve the organization's Supply Chain Systems business performance, deliver added value to stakeholders, and promote consistent and cost-effective solutions across systems, projects, and locations. The role drives operational excellence within the supply chain function leveraging technology and best practices to optimize processes and deliver value to the organization. Responsibilities Administration of Supply Chain Systems: oversee aspects of supply chain systems including project setup, user access management, and system configuration; adherence to established supply chain management practices and procedures. Project Management: organize and prioritize projects and tasks to meet deadlines and deliverables; effective time management and multitasking. System Strategy Development: develop new system strategies spanning multiple systems, platforms, and affiliated entities; align strategies with organizational goals. Vendor Relationship Management: manage relationships with system vendors, handle issues and notifications, ensure compliance with information services change control practices; effective communication and negotiation skills. System Maintenance and Enhancement: modify, maintain, and add value to existing systems through maintenance releases, vendor utilities, and creative use of resources; identify and implement enhancements. Issue Identification and Resolution: identify and communicate systems issues to supply chain management and propose alternatives; strong problem-solving skills. Training and Documentation: coordinate manuals and training materials and provide training to user personnel on system usage and modifications. Interface Design and Implementation: design, test, and install interfaces between systems with disparate hardware/software configurations. Continuous Improvement: analyze and assess supply chain systems to identify areas for improvement and streamline processes. Systems Configuration Ownership: take ownership of systems configuration to align with evolving business needs. Qualifications Proficiency in supply chain management software and systems (ERP & Inventory systems). Knowledge of database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL) and experience with data analysis and reporting tools. Understanding of system integration concepts and experience with interface design and implementation. Strong understanding of supply chain processes including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution; knowledge of best practices and emerging trends is beneficial. Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely support to users. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, allocate resources effectively, and meet deadlines. Proficiency in analyzing complex data sets, identifying trends, and solving problems related to supply chain systems; experience with root cause analysis and process improvement methodologies. Strong interpersonal and cross-functional communication skills with stakeholders and external vendors. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
