Overview
Our client is a Bay Area based private equity firm looking to add a Business Development Associate to its deal origination team. The position will be responsible for investment target identification and developing relationships with companies and banks of interest to the firm, as well as maintaining contact with a database of investment bankers and business brokers. The role will be the first point of contact between the firm and the owners/CEOs of potential portfolio companies. Responsibilities
Manage relationships with intermediaries (e.g., banks) and oversee some proprietary deal sourcing. Investment target identification and developing relationships with companies and banks of interest to the firm. Manage current boutique banking relationships; expand their scope and maintain regular contact. Travel to various industry events and conferences as required. Qualifications
1 4 years of deal sourcing experience at a PE firm OR Investment bank Demonstrated superior academic performance at a top-tier institution Undergraduate degree in business or finance viewed favorably Maturity and presence to interact with C-level executives Self-starter with strong sales and communication skills Seniority level
