The Assistant Director, Revenue Accounting & Data Analysis is responsible for processing, accounting, reporting, analyzing, and reconciling primary revenue streams such as donations and ticket sales. The role collaborates with University Relations, Athletics Development, Ticketing and Marketing, and Business & Finance offices to ensure data accuracy and comprehensive reporting. It supports departmental projects by developing data visualizations, analyzing revenue trends, forecasting, and integrating data from various sources to inform strategic decisions. The position works across cashiering, collections, accounts receivable, financial reporting, data management, and revenue modeling. This role is part of the Business and Finance Office in IA and reports to the Director of Revenue Accounting & Data Analysis. Application Review Date:

Revenue Reconciliation and Depositing: update, reconcile, and submit revenue deposits (donations, ticket sales, miscellaneous) using campus financial systems; resolve discrepancies using data from ticketing systems (Paciolan), banks, and merchant services; ensure deposits reconcile with the University’s general ledger. Revenue Reporting & Data Analysis: analyze donations and ticket revenue, visualize sales, assess campaign performance, identify trends; provide actionable insights and data-driven recommendations to departmental leadership; support ongoing and ad hoc projects with data modeling and cross-source reporting. Daily Financial Operations & Customer Service: process cashiering, accounts receivable/payable, collections, and deposits; maintain high customer service standards and resolve transactional errors; coordinate with CAL Athletics Fund and campus departments to ensure gifts are processed accurately and refunds issued timely. System Optimization & Data Accuracy: review data warehouse processes for accuracy and reporting efficiency; document improvements for system setup and financial activities; monitor data hygiene in ticketing systems. Staff Resource and Payroll Analysis: act as primary resource for staff on financial issues; calculate and process monthly sales signing bonuses for Premium Seating Sales Representatives and Account Executives; attend cross-department meetings to provide financial insight. Compliance & Audit: assess and implement changes to maintain compliance with federal, state, NCAA requirements; participate in internal and campus financial audits; base recommendations on analysis conducted. Professional Development & Other Duties: contribute to high-impact projects and strategic initiatives that drive system improvements or business transformation. Qualifications

Required: Thorough knowledge of financial processes related to revenue streams (ticketing, donations, miscellaneous income) and financial data management; ability to interpret and synthesize complex datasets for clear insights; strong Excel, database, and cloud-based reporting tools; excellent collaboration and communication to non-technical stakeholders; analytical thinking, attention to detail, and sound judgment; ability to manage high-volume tasks in a fast-paced environment; capability to mentor staff and adapt to changing priorities; strong understanding of internal control practices and related risks; Bachelor’s degree in a related area or equivalent experience. Preferred: Experience developing business intelligence dashboards or revenue forecasting tools; familiarity with data warehouse or API integrations; prior experience in intercollegiate athletics or regulated, high-volume financial environments with ticketing and donor systems. Salary & Benefits

Budgeted annual salary range: $72,600.00 – $78,000.00. This is a full-time (40 hours/week), exempt position eligible for UC Benefits. Details on benefits are available on the University’s Compensation & Benefits site. This role is governed by UC Berkeley policies and applicable laws. How To Apply
