Director, Business Development and Value-Based Payor Partnerships — DaVita Kidney Care. Location: Denver, Colorado (relocation assistance available). Join DaVita’s Payor Partnerships team to lead the growth of our value-based care business through development, negotiation, and execution of strategic partnerships with national and regional health plans. The role focuses on evolving from fee-for-service reimbursement to value-based care and requires collaboration across operations, legal, actuarial analytics, and business development. The Payor Partnerships team manages a substantial commercial revenue portfolio and is central to DaVita’s strategy in value-based care. This leadership position drives the identification, development, and execution of strategic partnerships with payors, including negotiating complex contracts and leading cross-functional deal teams. Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales: Develop and execute a national strategy to identify and engage target health plans for DaVita’s value-based care programs; build relationships with key decision-makers; present value-based care solutions and tailor proposals; represent DaVita at industry events. Contracting & Negotiation: Lead negotiation of complex value-based care contracts; develop and review contract language with legal counsel; coordinate with finance, actuarial analytics, operations, and clinical teams to ensure feasibility and alignment. Payor Relations Leadership: Lead payor relations function, map and engage key decision-makers at national and regional health plans; maintain payor contact database and ensure coordinated relationship management; establish goals and metrics for payor engagement. Market Intelligence & Strategy: Monitor industry trends, competition, and regulatory changes; provide insights to inform DaVita’s value-based strategy and product development; analyze data to identify opportunities and expansion areas. Minimum Qualifications

5–7 years of experience in business development, sales, or contracting within the healthcare industry. Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred. Understanding of payor and value-based care models (shared savings, capitation, fee-for-service) and a proven track record in business development or sales. Strong communication and relationship-building skills; ability to manage multiple projects across teams; ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Willingness to travel nationally as needed. Additional Success Factors

Compensation : The Salary Range for the role is $121,200.00 - $177,900.00 per year. Compensation depends on qualifications, skills, and experience.
