Overview

Golin is seeking a Manager, Insights and Analytics, to contribute to one of the agency\'s fast-growing teams and support client initiatives. The ideal candidate is a mix of creative problem solving, data analysis, and social media/content measurement with a strong storytelling ability through data. This role offers growth potential, regular client interaction, and room to innovate. Please note: Candidates must be located in either Los Angeles or San Francisco. What You'll Do

Analyze social and earned content for trends and patterns that inform recommended actions Think strategically and tell stories with data to convert insights into actionable recommendations Create measurement and performance reports by analyzing data, pulling out crisp insights and recommendations Develop research reports and presentations Monitor and evaluate digital and social media results on a daily/monthly/annual basis in coordination with client and account team goals, as well as benchmarks Be a creative, analytical mind on the team, supporting the development of strategic recommendations across earned and social media campaigns Use web and social media analytics platforms to measure campaign success and provide data-backed recommendations for optimization Serve as a data journalist by uncovering strategic findings and insights using a range of digital analytics techniques, such as social listening, to support business objectives, storytelling, and engagement Collaborate with the team to compile, synthesize and analyze data sets Experience understanding client needs, including general business strategy, industry issues, products and services, key customers and competitors Identify emerging opportunities across a diverse client set for various social channels What You Have

Bachelor\'s degree and a demonstrated passion for insights and analytics, digital, and agency experience 3+ years as an insights analyst, digital analyst, marketing analyst, or in research; PR/agency experience preferred Deep analytical skills with the ability to analyze data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable insights and recommendations Ability to interpret multiple data sources (qualitative, primary survey, secondary data) into a cohesive narrative Experience with databases and dashboards to inform decisions Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills with pivot tables, data filtering, and basic formulas Experience with tools such as TalkWalker, Brandwatch, Sprinklr, SimilarWeb Pro, CreatorIQ, ComScore, MOZ, and others Well-versed in communications, digital marketing, and media principles Strong verbal and written communication and time-management skills Experience with data visualization tools and creative ways to display information Keen eye for data trends and the ability to investigate factors behind trends Enthusiasm, passion, and curiosity about digital/social analytics Critical thinking and problem-solving skills Ability to prioritize and adapt to change Ability to quickly learn new tools and databases Highly motivated and eager to learn About Us

Salary Range: $55,000 - $95,000 Golin has included the base salary range or hourly rate for this role. Actual compensation offered within the range will depend upon skills, qualifications, experience, and market considerations.
