Senior Product Manager, Voice Search at Google

The Voice Search team is at the epicenter of this transformation. We are rebuilding the Voice Search experience using the latest in AI to create a transformative way for users to find information. In Google Search, we are reimagining what it means to search for information—any way and anywhere. To do that, we need to solve complex engineering challenges and expand our infrastructure, while maintaining a universally accessible and useful experience that people around the world rely on.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $183,000-$271,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay within the range is determined by work location and other factors, including skills, experience, and education or training. Responsibilities
Define and advocate for a multi-year product vision and strategy for a modern, AI-powered Voice Search experience on Google.
Lead a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, and researchers to rethink the voice input experience, addressing challenges like premature end-pointing to support complex, natural language queries.
Partner with Google's AI and Speech teams to drive improvements in Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) quality, ensuring our products understand all users in any environment.
Lead the development of a truly multi-modal search experience, defining how audible responses should work with visual search results.
Utilize data analysis, user research, and A/B testing to guide product decisions and build a roadmap balancing short-term user needs with long-term strategic investments.
Qualifications Minimum qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
3 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.
Preferred qualifications
5 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales, finance, and other stakeholders.
4 years of experience delivering technical presentations to senior leadership.
Experience working on voice interfaces, conversational AI, NLP, or speech recognition (ASR) technologies.
Knowledge of or continued interest in accessibility best practices and incorporating accessibility into product development methodologies.
Strong technical acumen to engage with engineering teams on system architecture and product design.
