The organization seeks to accelerate discovery, research, and development to bring novel therapies to patients sooner. Position: Director, Treasury & Corporate Insurance. The Director will manage global cash operational activities & forecasting, and bank and broker relationships. This role manages a team of two direct reports and reports to the VP, Financial Operations & Facilities, collaborating with Finance, Market Access, Legal, HR, Supply Chain, and the Treasury Department at the parent company in Japan. Responsibilities

Oversee and manage treasury operations including cash management, banking structure, and funding operations. Oversee cash forecasting short-term and long-term, using direct and indirect methodologies; support funding needs and understanding excess cash flow. Develop (with the VP) and execute Treasury strategy to reduce working capital globally across group entities and reduce excess cash levels. Direct corporate insurance programs aligned with business risk profile, including property, casualty, marine, cargo, product liability, foreign clinical trials, management liability, umbrella, and specialty lines. Manage banker and broker relationships. Oversee and manage cash pooling across SMPA group entities and the parent entity in Japan. Design, research, recommend, and implement treasury systems to support operations. Manage short- and long-term debt arrangements, including Accounts Receivable Factoring arrangements. Support and utilize inter-company payments and arrangements to optimize cash flow while maintaining compliance and tax strategy. Develop and support two direct reports. Key Core Competencies

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or general business. 10+ years in progressive finance-related roles. Basic knowledge of legal entity jurisdiction and accounting principles. Proficiency with advanced Excel (XLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, complex formulas). Understanding of planning software and Treasury Management Software (e.g., Kyriba). Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $182,100 to $227,600. Base salary is part of the total rewards package, including merit-based increases, eligibility for the 401(k) plan, medical/dental/vision, life and disability insurances, and leaves. The time-off policy includes flexible paid time off, 11 paid holidays, a year-end shutdown period, and paid sick time in addition to the base salary. Total compensation will depend on candidate experience and qualifications.
