We are working with a leading insurance organization and are seeking a skilled
Instructional Designer
to support a series of pilot learning initiatives aimed at enhancing internal knowledge around key business functions. Due to bandwidth constraints, the team is looking for a consultant who can jump in quickly and deliver high-quality instructional materials. While this engagement will begin with a couple of pilot programs, there is strong potential for long-term or expanded work based on performance. Responsibilities
Design and develop instructor-led training (ILT) courses, with an initial focus on a 60-minute session titled Breaking it Down – Financials. Translate complex quarterly financial report data into accessible, role-relevant training content. Create engaging content that includes knowledge checks, case-based scenarios, and supports learner understanding through real-world application. Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to extract relevant content and ensure accuracy. Work within existing design templates and follow internal learning standards and branding. Build content with minimal interactivity but allow time for Q&A within the ILT session. Qualifications
Proven experience in instructional design, particularly with ILT, eLearning, and microlearning formats. Strong ability to incorporate case scenarios, knowledge checks, and adult learning principles into content. Prior experience creating learning materials in the insurance industry is required. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with SMEs and cross-functional stakeholders. Ability to take initiative, respond to feedback, and pivot quickly when project direction changes. Tools & Technology

Individual pay is determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, relevant education, certifications and specific work location.
