About the Business LexisNexis Risk Solutions is the essential partner in the assessment of risk. They will set the agenda for product domain(s), drive program execution, propose new business or product strategies, and provide input on build vs buy decisions. This role includes direct management responsibility for product managers, including recruitment and development. Preferred candidate is located near Evanston, IL or Alpharetta, GA for monthly onsite meetings.
Responsibilities Customer Focus : Interacts with customers frequently, understands their use cases and business in depth; understands competitive products and strategies and how they influence customer decisions; balances organizational and customer needs to create a strategic plan; predicts trends within customer segments; defines value for each customer segment; engages with other companies in the industry domain and with start-ups.
Data-Driven Decision-Making & Analysis : Drives formulation of research/testing strategy; bases product decisions on data; evaluates cross-business implications of strategic decisions; prioritizes hypothesis-driven evaluation (including AB testing); breaks down large problems; establishes aggressive KPIs; leads decisions where quantitative data is unavailable.
Go to Market & Product Marketing Lifecycle : Develops go-to-market strategy and launch plans at the product level; coordinates with stakeholders and ensures execution across product, sales, marketing and other customer-facing teams; ensures ROI for go-to-market initiatives; defines metrics and tracking of launches; develops positioning, themes, messaging and pricing; evangelizes product for sales, customers, and media; anticipates market changes and adjusts strategy as needed.
Product Delivery & Development Lifecycle : Gathers data from multiple sources to drive solutions; oversees strategy, planning and execution; acts as a thought leader and innovator; ensures teams follow product and software development processes (including agile); understands industry-specific nuances; drives process improvement with long-term value.
Strategy & Commercial Acumen : Defines product strategy within a market or geography; collects information from internal/external sources to drive commercially viable decisions; considers buy/build/partner options; assesses impact of commercial decisions on other areas and customers; capitalizes on market opportunities; tracks product expenses, cost to revenue and profitability.
Technical Skills : Has domain expertise and serves as a technical resource; stays abreast of new technologies as required.

Education to Qualify: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical subject (Computer Science or Engineering) is preferred, but not essential. MBA or management degree strongly desirable

The salary range provided in this posting is the base salary range for Illinois: $140,100.00 - $260,200.00.
