Job Description Information Systems Sr Manager

On site Project Manager supporting the USPS IT Marketing Relationship Portfolio for the business group Product Classification. Supporting all day to day Integration Test activities. The Applications supported are Postal Explorer, the Pricing Tool and the Price Engine.

All three applications are a mix of maintenance and development efforts, consisting of both agile and waterfall processes, both are Windows, .NET application using responsive design.

The Postal Explorer is a web application it is the central postal website that allows users to search a document repository and links to other USPS system documents, utilizing Google Search Appliance on the backend. The Pricing Tool consists of ingesting 38k prices, creating SKUs and output files in multiple formats to support the USPS internal and external systems.

The Price Engine is a custom algorithm and software application that manages USPS calculations, enforces mailing standards and is critical to USPS revenue generation. This is a world wide application, with a transaction rate that can exceeds1 million per day. Quality assurance/testing is critical to ensure the accuracy in prices and rules enforcement are correct.

Responsibilities

Ensuring conformance of USPS standards for development (SDLC, TSLC, C&N, 508 compliance)

Reviewing budgets for Mandatory, Expansion and Price Change

Status reporting both written and orally.

Led the coordination efforts on a weekly basis, setting up meetings, obtaining documentation, writing up procedures and resolving problems

testing interfaces with other vendors, establishing schedules

Worked with the customer to establish working demos.

Attended requirements meetings

Coordinate getting hardware for the new Postal Explorer, which consisted of adding servers to the existing application.

Coordinated Stress testing and load testing

Working with new vendors to connect up to our interface, setting up meeting, providing documentation, coordinating the players to identify the best solution (web service, software development kit, flat files)

Hybrid: Onsite 4 days per week

A minimum of ten (10) years experience.

A degree from an accredited College/University in the applicable field of services is preferred.

Qualifications 10+ years of related experience. Skills include Information Systems, IT Project & Program Management, Prioritization. Experience with Windows/.NET applications, responsive design, and integration testing.

The likely salary range for this position is $131,750 - $178,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
