Head Start Assistant Teacher - School Year Position Manchester at Acquire4Hire This position provides classroom support and helps maintain health and safety for children in the program. $17.55/hr - $20.24/hr Duties
Share responsibility for the overall health and safety of the children in the program. Work as a member of the classroom team in forming trusting relationships with the children, and support general classroom function. Requirements / Qualifications
High School diploma or GED and 9 credit hours of early childhood college coursework including 3 hours of child growth and development; willing to pursue a Child Development Associate Credential (CDA); an Associate's Degree in ECE (preferred). Physical Requirements
Address children at eye level; kneel to address children at eye level as needed. Demonstrate motor activities that may include running, hopping, dancing, and full body motions. Be able to run after a child in peril; lift children in emergencies; nurture children who may need consoling; participate in safety drills on the floor; help children crawl to safety. Understand that children may respond physically during exuberant play. Nice to Haves
