We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Director to expand our presence in the energy transition and industrial fluid storage market. Position Overview:
As the Business Development Director for Midstream, LNG, Energy Transition and Industrial Infrastructure Storage Solutions, you will identify and pursue opportunities in the energy transition, CCUS and industrial manufacturing sectors. You will create and implement a market development plan while executing strategic initiatives, building partnerships, and driving revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development, project engineering, and/or product management, with a deep understanding of the energy sector, particularly midstream/LNG, energy transition, and sustainability initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Market Development & Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, potential clients, and competitors in the energy transition and industrial infrastructure storage solutions sector targeting the geographic footprint of TX, NM, CO, AR, LA, OK, and KS.
Partnership and Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain relationships with government agencies, utilities, energy transition/CCUS developers, and industry organizations. Collaborate with partners to pursue joint opportunities.
Business Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy that aligns with company goals.
Lead Generation: Identify and engage potential clients, partners, and stakeholders to drive new business opportunities.
Product Development: Collaborate with production operations and design engineering teams to provide market insights and feedback for storage solutions.
Project Engineering Support: Provide technical expertise and project engineering support to ensure successful implementation of storage solutions, delivering on time and on budget.
Proposal Development: Prepare and deliver proposals, presentations, and pitches to potential clients and partners.
Negotiation: Lead negotiations, contracts, and agreements with favorable terms for the company.
Long-Term Revenue Growth: Develop credible long-range revenue targets, track progress, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Team Leadership: Lead a high-performing front-end engineering support team, providing guidance and mentorship.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on relevant industry regulations and ensure company compliance.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
Proven track record in business development, project engineering, or product management (preferably with energy transition, oil & gas, and/or industrial manufacturing).
Strong understanding of low carbon and energy transition infrastructure storage solutions.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalize on emerging market opportunities.
Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and partners.
