By joining our rapidly growing Risk Advisory practice, you will serve as a trusted partner to our clients, bringing first-hand experience, perspectives, and functional knowledge to deliver tailored, integrated solutions. As a Managing Director at CrossCountry Consulting, you will be responsible for a mix of client delivery, business development, leading and developing teams, and serving as a member of CrossCountry’s leadership team. This role offers significant opportunities for personal and professional growth.

In this role, you will provide advisory services in one or more of the following risk domains: Financial and Compliance Risk (e.g., SOX and FIDICA compliance, ESG, regulatory reporting); Technology Risk (e.g., IT controls, cybersecurity, cloud, emerging technology); Strategic and Operational Risk (e.g., privacy, data governance, third party risk); and Enterprise-Wide Risk (e.g., Internal Audit, enterprise risk management programs, and risk transformation).

What You’ll Do

Lead and deliver a broad range of Risk Advisory projects throughout their lifecycle (risk assessment, fieldwork, transformation analyses, reporting), ensuring high-quality deliverables that exceed client expectations.

Oversee teams and individual performance, guiding toward objectives and addressing issues, risks, and conflicts as they arise.

Provide senior account and project leadership to ensure exceptional delivery quality, nurture client relationships, and create expansion opportunities.

Own client engagements to deliver high-quality, practical, and impactful consulting services.

Shape the strategic direction of the practice by monitoring industry trends, identifying opportunities, formulating strategy, and creating new services and solutions.

Contribute to talent acquisition and retention by attracting and hiring top talent who embody our core values.

Lead business development by marketing services to prospective clients and leveraging existing relationships to generate new opportunities.

What You’ll Bring

14+ years of experience advising on financial, compliance, technology, strategic, operational, and/or enterprise-wide risk.

Professional services experience in a client-facing role at a firm.

Expertise in key risk domain standards and frameworks (e.g., SOX, COSO, PCAOB, IIA ethics; technology and cybersecurity frameworks).

Depth of subject matter expertise with ability to share knowledge and enhance the team’s capabilities.

Proven track record in account leadership, financial management of accounts, and client partnership building.

Recognition for delivering high-quality work and for technical acumen and leadership abilities.

Proven ability to develop strategies that foster practice development and firm growth.

Experience mentoring and building junior team members and resolving complex issues.

Proven ability to build strong client relationships with C-level executives that yield results.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.

Relevant professional certifications such as CIA, CISA, CISSP, CIPP, etc.

For applicants located in Boston, CrossCountry Consulting provides an estimated compensation range for this role. The current range is $250,000 - $400,000 per year plus annual bonus and additional benefits.
