Overview
Electrician - Water/Wastewater Treatment Facility. Location: Hoboken, New Jersey (North Hudson Sewerage Authority). Schedule: Start Time 6:30 AM, End Time 3:00 PM. After training, may be on rotating on-call schedule. Qualifications
High school diploma or GED. Valid electrician certification. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Preferred Experience and Skills
Five years of experience in the maintenance of wastewater treatment plants and related equipment, or in an industrial setting with experience performing electrical maintenance. Five years of electrical troubleshooting and repair experience, including motors, pump controls, VFDs, motor-operated valves, calibrating flow meters, lighting systems, and other equipment related to wastewater treatment or similar industrial settings. Proficient in the use of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Bend/install conduit to comply with NEC code. Knowledge of sizing wire to NEC code; motor/pulley alignment; troubleshooting various electrical and mechanical equipment on site. Intermediate knowledge of SCADA controls. Familiarity with methods, materials, equipment, and instruments used in maintenance, repair and calibration of electrical and electronic control systems including DCS; PLCs or PC-based controls; HMI; instrumentation networks (Ethernet, DeviceNet, ControlNet, Profibus) or similar; servers, drives, actuators, and VFDs. Knowledge of related state and federal laws and regulations. Responsibilities
Perform skilled electrical repair work on water/wastewater treatment plant equipment and related equipment. Read, interpret, and work from blueprints, drawings, sketches, plans, specifications, and mechanical illustrations. Analyze equipment failures to determine cause and prevent recurrences. Assist with project recordkeeping and prepare routine and special reports. Provide on-the-job training to less experienced employees. Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on mechanical and electrical machinery or equipment. Regularly inspect working condition and maintain the cleanliness and safety of equipment and surrounding areas. Assist with review of capital improvement project studies, designs, and contract drawings. Forecast material and equipment needs and perform other duties as required. Plan and install new equipment upgrades as needed; coordinate with team to ensure safety and compliance with procedures. Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

Use of appropriate safety equipment is mandatory in these areas to prevent hazardous contact.
