HVAC and Process Controls Engineer at WSP in the U.S. kW Mission Critical Engineering, a WSP company, designs data centers and mission critical environments. Work in a team or independently, planning and executing engineering tasks within projects Demonstrate understanding of the services provided by the kW MCE engineering teams and related practices Independently, under general supervision, support the team during proposal design and construction stages Execute controls design of complex projects Develop drawing and specification documents for issuance to architects, contractors and building owners Attend client meetings and contribute to discussions Collaborate with internal project discipline team members and external equipment vendors Communicate complex control and monitoring concepts to clients and stakeholders Integrate mechanical and electrical engineering requirements into larger facility controls and monitoring designs Interact with clients, maintain relationships and develop new ones Perform controls designs, review systems and drawings prior to issuance Survey and evaluate existing conditions Review contractor and system integrator shop drawings and product details to ensure design requirements are met Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering 7+ years of experience in designing building automation control systems for commercial, industrial, or mission critical facilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience with AutoCAD, Revit Knowledge of building, mechanical, electrical and energy codes Ability to organize and present design information to project staff Attention to detail, highly organized, self-starter Ability to travel to project sites Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering EIT or PE licensure or ability to obtain Mission Critical/Data Center experience highly preferred Experience with international projects is beneficial Compensation and Benefits
WSP provides a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability, life, and retirement savings. Expected Salary: $110,000 - $165,000. Compensation and benefits are described in good faith and may vary based on education, experience, and location. About WSP
