Lean Partners
Lean Partners seeks a dynamic Lead Consultant to lead transformative client engagements, deliver tailored Lean solutions, and drive sustained, bottom-line results in operational efficiency and profitability. This role requires collaborating closely with senior client leaders to create a future state vision and guide organizations toward achieving it, ensuring long-term financial impact. The Lead Consultant will also focus on training and developing leaders at all levels, with a strong emphasis on empowering first-line supervisors to drive operational excellence. The role will primarily serve manufacturing clients, alongside some service and distribution sectors, upholding Lean Partners’ commitment to excellence and measurable outcomes.
Most of our projects are based in the Eastern United States, with occasional opportunities for international travel. We are hiring for both full-time and contract positions, depending on location. This role offers the flexibility to live anywhere, but because the work is performed on-site with clients, extensive travel, potentially up to 100%, is required.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Vision Development: Partner with senior client leaders to assess current operations, co-create a future state vision aligned with business objectives, and develop a roadmap to achieve transformative goals that deliver sustained, bottom-line results. Lean Transformation Leadership: Design and implement customized Lean strategies, including value stream mapping, Kaizen events, 5S, and A3 problem-solving, to optimize processes, eliminate waste, and drive measurable financial improvements in manufacturing, service, and distribution environments. Leadership Development: Train and develop leaders at all levels, with a strong focus on equipping first-line supervisors with the skills, tools, and confidence to lead Lean initiatives, foster team accountability, and drive operational success. Client Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact, building trusted relationships with client executives to align strategic priorities, secure buy-in, and ensure initiatives translate into sustained, bottom-line results. Project Management: Lead end-to-end consulting projects, managing scope, timelines, budgets, and deliverables to achieve measurable improvements in efficiency, profitability, and client satisfaction that endure over time. Change Management: Guide clients through cultural and operational transformations by coaching leaders at all levels, particularly first-line supervisors, to embed a continuous improvement mindset and sustain long-term financial and operational success. Data-Driven Insights: Analyze client performance to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for step-function improvement. Deliver actionable, data-driven plans that sustain cost savings, performance improvement, and revenue growth. Business Development: Support Lean Partners’ growth by contributing to proposals, identifying new client opportunities, and showcasing expertise in driving sustained, bottom-line results through operational excellence. Thought Leadership: Stay current on Lean trends and contribute to Lean Partners’ resources, such as case studies and articles, to enhance the firm’s reputation for delivering lasting financial impact.
